It was lovely for the Wildscapes team to get great feedback from the at National Trust’s Lyme Park estate – and even better to see the ‘leaky dams’ in action this winter. After heavy rains, they can be seen slowing the flow of water and creating better wet habitats for all species.
This is what the staff team at Lyme had to say: “The Wildscapes team were a joy to work with, from the initial site visit, through the tendering process, to the installation of the dams. The work was done to a high standard and was designed and installed to provide the multiple benefits of water storage and habitat creation.” Wildscapes staff worked in partnership with the Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust’s Land Team Manager Tom Dunne to complete the work in autumn 2024. The results in recent heavy rains speak for themselves! Find out more about the work of the Wildscapes land management team here.
